Last year saw in excess of a thousand concertgoers dancing to Abba standards performed by Voulez Vous. This year, we go one better, with Pop Goes the 80s, a fully costumed theatre show, fresh from a UK-wide tour!

Artists:
Pop Goes the 80s is the UK’s first 80’s touring theatre show. With a barrage of non-stop hits including ‘Gold’, ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’, ‘Stand And Deliver’, ‘99 Red Balloons’, ‘Rio’, ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’, ‘Hey Mickey’ and ‘Thriller’ to name but a few.
Max Power is your host, who will have you dancing around your handbags ensuring a fun filled night to remember. A sensational cast of West End singers, dancers and musicians. Breathtaking lights, dazzling laser shows, a giant video wall and enough lavish costumes for any Material Girl plus a show-stopping performance of Michael Jackson’s ‘Smooth Criminal’ will complete this unforgettable 80’s experience.
Celebrate this sensational decade. From the birth of Electro-Pop, through the age of soft rock to the flamboyance of the new romantics.

Harrogate Youth Jazz Orchestra (HYJO) is a senior ensemble of Harrogate Music Centre and consists of around 22 talented young musicians from the Harrogate and Skipton area with a keen interest in jazz, funk, world and contemporary music. The band is always in great demand and performs at many engagements thoughout the year at a variety of festivals and venues.
