One of today’s most highly touted young accordionists and still a student at the Royal Academy of Music, Latvia’s Ksenija Sidorova has already made her Wigmore Hall debut to critical acclaim. Her programme celebrates the 350th anniversary of Scarlatti’s birth and also includes works by Berio and Moszkowski that will test her widely acknowledged virtuosity to its limits.

Artist:
Classical accordionist Ksenija Sidorova was born in Latvia in 1988. Since 2005 she has been studying as an undergraduate at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Professor Owen Murray. In February 2009 Ksenija won the Friends of the Royal Academy of Music Wigmore Award, which led to her Wigmore Hall debut. She has also won the Worshipful Company of Musicians Maisie Lewis Award, the Philharmonia Orchestra Martin Musical Scholarship Fund Award and has been selected to appear in Park Lane Group’s Young Artists’ New Year Series 2010.
